How Do These Therapies Work Together?
Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is a procedure that uses state-of-the-art lasers to tighten your skin. By combining PRP therapy and RF microneedling, we keep you looking young for years. This process works by rolling an instrument with tiny needles over the skin to make minuscule “micro-injuries” that interrupt your tissues, stimulating collagen production. While new skin forms and heals, it leaves the surface looking younger, smoother, and brighter. We use a numbing solution on your skin to minimize discomfort. Our staff encourages about three to four treatments spaced one month apart to maximize results. Call us today to schedule your consultation if you think RF microneedling is right for you!
Ideal Candidates for RF Microneedling and PRP Therapy
Patients with deep wrinkles, volume loss, uneven skin tone, and droopy skin are usually ideal candidates for PRP therapy. Since it promotes collagen production naturally, it’s also an excellent treatment choice if you have tired or dull-looking skin. Talk to Dr. Zainab about any skin conditions, blood disorders, or anemia to ensure that it’s safe for you to undergo RF microneedling and PRP therapy. - Improve skin feel, pigment, and tone
- Fix skin imperfections, like discoloration and blood vessels
- Minimize the appearance of sun damage and age spots

RF Microneedling and PRP Therapy Procedure Technique
After you’re comfortably seated in one of our secluded minor procedure areas, a small amount of blood will be drawn from one of your arms and put into a centrifuge machine. Typically, we draw around four tablespoons or one vial of blood. After approximately 15 minutes on the centrifuge machine, the components of the blood separate and are then ready to be injected. We will load your concentrated plasma into a syringe and inject it into the designated areas of the face. The RF microneedling and PRP process typically only takes about five minutes, but this will vary for each patient.
Microneedling utilizes an instrument (with tiny needles at the end) that’s rolled carefully around the skin to puncture and make micro-injuries that “interrupt” the tissues and stimulate the production of collagen. Some even refer to this technique as collagen induction treatment. New skin forms as the skin begins to heal, leaving the surface looking and feeling brighter, smoother, and more refreshed. Although this process is commonly done on its own, combining this innovative method with radiofrequency laser technologies (Vivace) has enabled us to maximize the outcomes for our Dutchess, Orange, Putnam and Westchester counties medspa patients.
What to Expect with RF Microneedling and PRP Therapy
Your sessions will be performed in the Hebe Medical Spa facility with the help of a numbing solution to help reduce any discomfort. During your microneedling procedure, the Vivace handpiece will glide over the desired treatment areas, repeating the technique until the desired outcome has been reached. You can anticipate tiny pinpoint scabs to become pronounced 24 – 72 hours after the session, which will naturally disappear when the inherent skin has healed. Outcomes become noticeable as the skin heals over the next month. Optimal results generally take 3 – 4 treatments spaced one month apart. Plasma from PRP therapy naturally promotes collagen production and elastin to reveal tighter and younger appearing skin. Since it uses your own blood, there is no risk of allergic or adverse reactions.
